Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Front Desk Hotel Clerk to join our team at The Yorke Inn. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Registration: Register arriving guests and assign rooms, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
  • Arrival and Departure Processing: Process group arrivals and departures, taking into account room availability and guest preferences.
  • Room Reservations: Take, cancel, and change room reservations as needed, maintaining accurate records and communicating with guests.
  • Guest Information: Provide information on hotel facilities and services, as well as points of interest in the area, to enhance the guest experience.
  • Departure Processing: Process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments in a timely and professional manner.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Communication: Answer telephone calls and relay messages, as well as assist clients/guests with special needs.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to guest inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, but not required.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
