Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Next Power Inc. as a Power Systems Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical power systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical power systems, including generation, transmission, and distribution systems
  • Conduct feasibility studies and perform technical evaluations to determine the best course of action for electrical power system projects
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of technicians, technologists, and other engineers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and other documents related to electrical power system projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical power system projects meet client requirements and are delivered on time
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in electrical power system design and development
  • Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association
  • Basic security clearance
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Experience with electrical power system design software and tools
  • Knowledge of electrical power system standards and regulations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
