Job Title: Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Next Power Inc. as a key member of our engineering department.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting feasibility studies, designing electrical generation and distribution networks, and supervising technicians and engineers. They will also prepare cost estimates, reports, and design specifications, as well as develop maintenance and operating standards for electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct feasibility studies and design electrical generation and distribution networks
  • Supervise technicians, technologists, programmers, analysts, and other engineers
  • Prepare cost estimates, reports, and design specifications
  • Develop maintenance and operating standards for electrical systems
  • Commission systems and components
  • Set up and operate test equipment to diagnose and analyze electrical systems
Requirements:
  • Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association
  • Basic security clearance
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Team player with efficient interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with electrical generation and distribution networks
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations
  • Ability to work in a team environment
