Dental Laboratory Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Laboratory Assistant to join our team at Shaw Lab Group. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a crucial role in the production of high-quality dental restorations.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation of Dental Models: Prepare plaster models and moulds to exact specifications.
- Casting and Finishing: Cast gold or metal alloys for bridges and denture bases, and finish metal frameworks of dentures.
- Supply Management: Maintain and order supplies to ensure efficient laboratory operations.
- Wax Work: Mould wax over dentures set-up and prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays.
- Denture Production: Pack plastic material in moulds to form full or partial dentures.
- Orthodontic Band Production: Make orthodontic bands from metal and alloys.
- Denture Polishing: Polish and buff dentures to a high shine.
- Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced laboratory setting with multiple projects and deadlines.
- Manual Dexterity: Possess excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and quality control.
- Team Player: Work effectively as part of a team to achieve laboratory goals.
