About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at Tolko Industries Ltd. in High Level, Alberta. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our mill.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair heavy equipment, including hydraulic systems, pumps, conveyors, and compressors.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, using your knowledge of blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during assembly, installation, and repair.
  • Inspect and examine equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
Requirements
  • Certification as a Heavy Duty Mechanic.
  • Experience working on hydraulic equipment and cylinders, as well as assembling large precision heavy equipment.
  • Knowledge of blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
