About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Surgeon to join our team at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids). As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our pediatric surgical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct medical research on human disorders, illnesses, and preventive or curative methods
  • Prepare research papers for publication and presentation
  • Study the nature, cause, and development of diseases and the structural and functional changes caused by diseases
  • Act as consultants to other physicians
  • Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures
Work Environment

You will be working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and will be required to work under pressure. You will be expected to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team.

Requirements
  • 5 years or more of experience in pediatric surgery
  • Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry
  • Eligible for Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination
  • Eligible for licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
