Radiological Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Radiological Technologist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care while operating radiological/accessory equipment with minimal supervision. You will perform a variety of diagnostic or therapeutic procedures, applying the ALARA principle, and continuously remain responsive to and responsible for each patient in your care.
Effective communication in a multidisciplinary/interdisciplinary environment is essential, as you will be working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to foster a culture of safety in the workplace. Travel to other sites may be required.
About YouWe are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with a strong background in radiological technology. The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology, hold Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification, and Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure. Previous experience is an asset, as is qualification to work in more than one Diagnostic Imaging modality. Basic Life Support Certification is also required.
The successful candidate will possess excellent time management skills, ability to work independently, and physical capabilities to perform the duties of the position. Demonstrated initiative, organizational, and prioritizing skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within inter-professional teams, are essential. Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset.
Hours- This is a long assignment full-time position, requiring 75 hours biweekly.
- The assignment is approximately 12 months in duration.
- Shift work, including evenings, nights, and weekends, is required.
- Stand by coverage may be necessary.
The hourly rate for this position is $30.83 - $37.54.
