Position Overview

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing new supply chain and production operational strategies. Key responsibilities include identifying essential suppliers, negotiating procurement agreements, ensuring compliance with material specifications, and collaborating with engineering teams to select OEM components for our Smart Imaging Systems. This position also involves managing the logistics of shipping and receiving our products and components.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop, execute, and manage supply chain operational practices for manufacturing procurement.
  • Procure goods and services to support the production of Smart Imaging Systems.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team to create, update, and maintain accurate Bills of Material.
  • Oversee shipping and receiving operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and replenish materials as necessary.
  • Analyze and report on material costs.
  • Manage vendor and supplier relationships to ensure adherence to delivery schedules and quality standards.
Additional Responsibilities May Include
  • Assisting with on-site installation and commissioning of new systems at customer locations.
  • Supporting the customer service team in resolving issues with in-field systems.
  • Contributing to production activities, including assembly and testing of systems.
  • Coordinating with external suppliers and fabrication shops to meet design and quality requirements.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Some tasks may involve lifting up to 25kg.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Diploma or degree in a relevant field related to purchasing and supply chain management.
  • 2 to 3 years of procurement experience, particularly with technology products.
  • Experience in establishing new supply chain processes and systems.
  • Hands-on knowledge of logistics, BOM management, inventory control, and procurement.
  • Familiarity with customs and border regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in Excel/GSheets, and experience with ERP software.
  • Strong vendor and partner management capabilities.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Professional verbal and written communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the food industry is a significant advantage.
  • Familiarity with PLM software.
  • Knowledge of logistics, export processes, and tariff codes.
