Key Responsibilities- Provide professional practical nursing services to designated patients, including independent nursing services and administration of prescribed medical treatments.
- Collaborate and interact with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and discharge.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of patients.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective care strategies.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing Education program.
- One year of acute clinical care experience required within the last 3 years.
- Satisfactory employment record required.
- Current registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM).
- Current B.L.S. registration at the Targeted Responder Level.
- Knowledge of College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Licensed Practical Nurses.
- Knowledge of College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba Code of Ethics for Licensed Practical Nurses.
- Knowledge of Scope of practice as documented in the Licensed Practical Nurses Act.
- Knowledge of Regional/Facility/Unit policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
