About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Learning Management System Administrator to join our team at FortisBC. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in maintaining the overall structure of our LMS, creating courses and programs, and providing technical support to end-users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the overall LMS structure, including courses, curriculums, and other related components.
  • Create courses, programs, and curriculums based on specifications from instructional designers, managers, or business owners.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for process and quality improvements, providing feedback on usage, defects, and suggested enhancements to the LMS.
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance for end-users regarding logging in to the LMS and accessing courses.
  • Work with instructional designers/writers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to accessing the LMS and course content.
  • Prepare reports to enable the identification of gaps in requirements and support the development and execution of personal development plans.
  • Act as primary contact and provide support for managers, supervisors, and employees with respect to competencies, training records, requirements, and eLearning inquiries and registrations.

Requirements

  • Certificate in Business Administration or a related field from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Two (2) years directly related relevant experience.
  • Advanced computer skills in Excel (MS Office Suite and enterprise application systems, e.g., SAP).
  • Ability to exercise judgment, tact, and discretion in preparing, disclosing, and handling information of a confidential and/or sensitive nature.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to apply time management skills to prioritize and complete assignments within demanding work schedules.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to investigate and resolve problems.
