Job Description

Job Title: Tax Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Tax Director to join our team at Patrimonica. As a Tax Director, you will be responsible for managing complex tax matters, preparing and reviewing income tax returns, and providing expert advice on tax planning for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise tax files and deadlines
  • Prepare and review income tax returns for various entities
  • Provide expert advice on tax planning for clients
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure timely and accurate completion of tax files
  • Support and train team members on tax-related matters
  • Participate in client meetings to understand their needs and expectations
  • Manage and supervise mandates and deadlines
  • Review and/or prepare various tax documents for various entities
  • Present financial statements and tax returns to clients
  • Analyze corporate structures of families
  • Develop tax strategies
  • Train personnel
  • Perform special mandates (financial planning, succession, will, tax reorganization, etc.)
  • Participate in the preparation of service offers and presentations
  • Participate in client invoicing
  • Consult and collaborate with the investment team to implement the tax aspects of the investment policy

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
  • CPA title
  • License or master's degree in taxation
  • Experience in a accounting firm
  • Deep knowledge of taxation
  • Experience with portfolio companies, trusts, and foundations
  • Knowledge of financial planning is an asset
  • Bilingualism is essential (English and French)

Work Environment:

Salary: Competitive, to be discussed based on skills and experience - $175K and +
