We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager, Project Controls to lead our Program Management Office in delivering program and project controls support to multi-billion-dollar investments in GO Expansion or Rapid Transit.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic oversight in the delivery of best business practices and procedures, and principles of practice from Director level leadership in the following areas: Risk Management, Quality Management, Estimating and Scheduling.
- Champion provision of matrixed services in program controls to allow consistency and efficiency, in the approach to project controls support and the strategic deployment of resources needed to meet growth mandates of the Capital Projects Group.
- Direct mentorship and subject matter guidance to the Project Controls and Project Management Office to drive consistency and create best practices in the support provided.
- Monitor benchmarks, goals, and objectives that reflect corporate strategy and direction, including appropriate metrics (Key Performance Indicators), monitoring systems, and reporting functionalities.
- Completion of a degree in engineering, applied science, business, or a related discipline – or a combination of education, training, and experience deemed equivalent.
- Demonstrated years' progressive senior leadership experience.
- A valid Professional Engineering (license in the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) is an asset.
- Certification as Certified Cost Professional (CCP), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Project Management Professional (PMP) are assets.
- Knowledge of transportation, engineering, design, and construction management applied to structures, roadways, railways, facilities, and related projects is an asset.
- Applied knowledge and experience of project controls with different types of infrastructure delivery models including P3, traditional, and other progressive type delivery models.
- Knowledge of applicable legal and regulatory requirements governing delivery of passenger rail services is an asset.
- Knowledge of relevant construction, facilities, and environmental legal and regulatory requirements.
- Training and Experience in LEAN or Six Sigma would be considered an asset.
