About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to fill the position of President and CEO at Great Lakes College of Science and Technology. As a key member of our executive team, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction and growth of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Vision
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan to drive business growth and expansion
    • Provide leadership and direction to senior management and staff
    • Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, and external partners
  • Operational Management
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the college, including finance, human resources, and facilities management
    • Ensure the effective implementation of policies and procedures
    • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Financial Management
    • Develop and manage the college's budget and financial plans
    • Ensure the effective management of financial resources, including investments and fundraising
    • Monitor and report on financial performance
  • Strategic Partnerships
    • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with external organizations, including industry partners, government agencies, and other educational institutions
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships
    • Represent the college at external events and conferences
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, education, or a related field
  • Experience
    • Minimum 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in a higher education setting
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Proven track record of leadership and management experience
    • Strong business acumen and financial management skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge
    • Proficiency in MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, and MS Word
    • Knowledge of XML technology (XSL, XSD, DTD)
  • Area of Work Experience
    • Experience in management or a related field
