About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at Rideaucrest Home. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, promoting their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Monitor and assist residents during meal times, reporting and documenting relevant information
  • Lift, transfer, and transport residents using proper safety techniques and equipment
  • Participate in care planning and contribute to the development of individualized care plans
  • Provide emotional support and stimulation to residents, promoting their social and emotional well-being
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident care and activities

Requirements

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent education
  • Successful completion of a recognized Personal Support Worker program
  • One year of customer service experience, preferably in a long-term care setting
  • First Aid/CPR certificate, Palliative Care training, and Alzheimer Care training an asset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills
