Role Overview

The Head of North American Marketing is tasked with spearheading and implementing the global strategy of Canada Goose within the North American market, encompassing Canada, the USA, and Mexico. As a visionary and strategic marketer, you are dedicated to crafting locally relevant initiatives and executing top-tier campaigns, events, and activations that enhance brand loyalty and establish Canada Goose as a premier luxury lifestyle brand that drives business success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement comprehensive and multi-channel marketing strategies that integrate Media, Digital, PR, Influencer Marketing, Community Engagement, Partnerships, Retail, and Wholesale Marketing aimed at fostering brand loyalty among target demographics and achieving commercial objectives in the Canadian, American, and Mexican markets.
  • Collaborate as a cohesive partner across global marketing and cross-functional teams, cultivating positive relationships to meet regional targets.
  • Continuously assess and interpret brand insights and apply critical findings.
  • Oversee budget management for all local marketing initiatives; conduct regular assessments with internal teams and financial partners.
  • Supervise agency collaborations across PR, Experiential, and Media; ensure robust and productive relationships with all service providers.
  • Identify and evaluate strategic partnerships that can enhance brand reputation and consumer loyalty.
  • Collaborate with key wholesale partners to develop and implement marketing initiatives that align with global and regional objectives.
  • Lead retail marketing efforts aimed at increasing foot traffic, fostering community involvement, and delivering exceptional product experiences.
  • Manage the creation of comprehensive paid marketing initiatives in collaboration with local channel leaders.
  • Enhance and support community engagement programs that build upon the global strategic framework and strengthen consumer connections.
  • Work closely with essential cross-functional partners from departments such as eCommerce, Retail, Planning, and Product to identify commercial opportunities and long-term product strategies for priority markets.
  • Cultivate and mentor a team of outstanding marketing professionals.

Candidate Profile:

  • Over 10 years of direct experience in a marketing leadership role.
  • Background in sectors such as fashion, outdoor apparel, or retail is highly advantageous.
  • Strong strategic understanding of both online and offline communications, including public relations.
  • Excellent grasp and practical knowledge of brand development and management.
  • Demonstrates a comprehensive range of marketing competencies, including planning and execution, research and analysis, product launches, public relations, advertising, sponsorships, product placements, partnerships, event management, digital strategy, and marketing material production.
  • Ability to apply insightful analysis to derive meaningful conclusions.
  • Highly effective in project management, prioritization, multitasking, and time management to meet deadlines.
  • Proven team player who is adaptable and flexible.
  • Possesses a well-defined sense of diplomacy, including strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
  • Regularly provides constructive feedback and guidance to others regarding their performance and professional growth.
