About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team at Redwood Residence Ltd. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Mobility and Transfers: Safely transfer residents from wheelchairs to beds and assist with mobility exercises.
  • Meal Preparation and Service: Serve meal trays and assist residents with eating and drinking.
  • Housekeeping and Laundry: Maintain a clean and comfortable living environment by making beds, changing linens, and doing laundry.
  • Medication Administration: Assist with administering medications and maintaining accurate records.
  • Communication and Documentation: Maintain open and respectful communication with residents, families, and healthcare professionals, and document resident care and progress.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Certifications: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, and Health Care Aide Certificate.
  • Personal Qualities: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, judgement, reliability, patience, and a strong work ethic.
