Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Northern Sustainable Developments ltd. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing structures and fixtures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts and blueprints in accordance with building codes and regulations
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials to create structures and fixtures
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Schedule and coordinate work on construction sites
  • Instruct and supervise apprentices and other workers
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty environments
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle
  • First Aid Certificate and other relevant certifications
