Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the construction of buildings, including framing, finishing, and installation of fixtures and equipment.
  • Perform tasks such as measuring, cutting, and assembling materials.
  • Operate power tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Work in a team environment to achieve project goals and deadlines.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Education: Completion of a trades certificate or diploma program in carpentry or a related field.
  • Experience: Equivalent experience in a related field or an apprenticeship program.
  • Work Setting: Construction sites, various locations.
  • Student Status: Full-time enrollment in a trades program.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, physically demanding.
  • Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots.
  • Personal Suitability: Reliability, team player.
  • Experience: An asset.
  • Duration of Employment: Permanent.
  • Language of Work: English or French.
  • Hours of Work: 40 hours per week.
