Job Title: Journeyman/Woman Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman/Woman Carpenter to join our team at Northern Sustainable Developments ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship and safety standards on our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare layouts and designs in accordance with building codes and regulations.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and steel.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Schedule and coordinate work on sites, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Supervise and instruct apprentices, promoting a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Collaborate with other workers to achieve project goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate.
  • Valid driver's licence and own vehicle.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Carpenter Trade Certification.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment:

Our team works on various construction projects, including commercial and residential developments. You will be required to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty environments.
