Auditor, Internal Audit Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Auditor, Internal Audit to join our team at Payments Canada. As a key member of our Internal Audit function, you will play a critical role in supporting the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of a sound internal payment operations audit practice.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing a payment operations audit strategy aligned with industry best practices;
- Refining maturity appraisal processes and delivering training and awareness initiatives related to payment operations audit;
- Planning and executing audits within the approved scope and budget, identifying emerging risks, and ensuring proper documentation;
- Ensuring audit findings are clear and concise, identifying root causes, and communicating opportunities for efficiency improvements;
- Influencing stakeholders to gain buy-in, resolving conflicts, and maintaining effective communication;
- Providing guidance and support to other audit staff and coordinating with stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- An undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;
- A minimum of three years' experience in executing internal audit programs, conducting external audits, or conducting risk assessments;
- Demonstrated relationship management skills with a proven ability to influence;
- Government of Canada Level II Secret Clearance or eligibility to obtain.
