About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpentry Assistant to join our team at Orchard View Builders Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist carpenters with various tasks, including loading and unloading materials, erecting and dismantling scaffolding, and mixing and pouring concrete.
  • Help with framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications and pave and rake asphalt.
  • Assist in demolishing buildings and clean up chemical spills and other contaminants.
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites and tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Experience an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Physically demanding role requiring manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work 35 hours per week.
