Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate quality requirements with management, staff, and clients
  • Verify that all site activities comply with quality codes and standards
  • Distribute quality control documentation to site sub-contractors
  • Provide feedback to management regarding quality matters
  • Review project documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Ensure proper implementation of quality requirements in the shop and on site
  • Perform pre-inspections and assist with material receiving processes
  • Ensure proper weld and NDE mapping and visual inspection
  • Ensure proper NDE report and radiographic film traceability
  • Ensure proper hydrotest packages are complete and witness testing activities
  • Continually monitor work in progress via the QC audit process
  • Identify and control all NCR's while correcting with remedial action
  • Prepare required documentation and organize project files for final turnover
  • Ensure proper management, storage, and filing of controlled documents
  • Assist with training up and coming trades personnel in quality practices and procedures

Requirements

  • CWB Welding Inspector Level 1 certificate with B31.3, W47.1, W59, and CSA Z662 endorsements required
  • NACE Coating Inspector Level 1/AMPP Basic Coatings Inspector certificate an asset
  • Relevant technical diploma or trade certificate required
  • Working knowledge of ASME and CSA codes (Pressure Vessels, Process Piping, and Structural)
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
  • Developed analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Meticulous record-keeping skills
  • Capable of working independently with minimal direction
  • Comfortable working outdoors
