Senior Project Manager - Building Envelope Commissioning

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, collaboration, execution, and management of technical personnel on projects related to building envelope commissioning.
  • Conduct expertise assessments and evaluations of building physical conditions.
  • Perform technical and legal evaluations.
  • Prepare and review comprehensive technical study reports.
  • Assess technical deliverables for quality and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate health and safety standards for supervised staff and maintain corporate quality control.
  • Facilitate client meetings and prepare service offerings.
  • Engage in other related responsibilities as needed.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including project managers, project coordinators, site technicians, certified thermographers, drone pilots, and more.

Essential Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of building envelope construction principles, systems, and regulations in Canada.
  • Experience conducting technical and legal evaluations on building envelopes.
  • Proficiency in preparing detailed technical reports.
  • Experience in reviewing building envelope designs and relevant building codes.
  • LEED or BECx certification is a valuable asset.
  • Experience in regulatory analysis of construction codes and standards is advantageous.
  • Experience in preparing project proposals is a plus.
  • Expertise in building heat transfer research is beneficial.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture or building engineering/construction engineering.
  • More than 10 years of experience in building science.
  • Membership in the Quebec Order of Engineers or the Quebec Order of Architects.
  • Exceptional analytical and professional judgment capabilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication skills in both French and English (oral and written).
  • Advanced proficiency in written French.
  • Strong command of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Outstanding client relationship skills.
  • Possession of an ASP Construction card.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
