About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Motel Managing Supervisor to join our team at The Canmore Hotel Hostel. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our motel, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our facilities are well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the work of staff in various areas of responsibility, including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance.
    • Provide guidance and support to staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Guest Services
    • Assist guests with special needs and ensure that their requirements are met.
    • Coordinate and review work to ensure that guests receive exceptional service and that our facilities are well-maintained.
  • Operations and Maintenance
    • Maintain the operation of computer systems, equipment, and machinery, and arrange for repairs as needed.
    • Requisition materials and supplies to ensure that our facilities are well-stocked and that our guests have access to the amenities they need.
  • Human Resources
    • Hire and train staff in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • At least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a supervisory or management role.
  • Work Environment
    • Hotel, motel, or resort environment.
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Accurate and detail-oriented.
    • Client-focused and able to provide exceptional service.
    • Dependable and able to work independently.
    • Efficient interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with staff and guests.
