WORK SCHEDULE: The standard work schedule consists of a rotation of 4 weeks: 2 weeks of active work (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 2 weeks of rest.

Summary of Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the environmental coordinator and technicians, the assistant technician will undertake the following responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the execution of various monitoring initiatives and environmental assessments;
  2. Manage the inventory of necessary resources for task execution (inventory management, ordering, and receiving);
  3. Maintain databases and controls to support studies and monitoring required for the Nunavik Nickel Project;
  4. Coordinate the transportation of samples to laboratories and oversee their tracking;
  5. Support the maintenance of various departmental measurement instruments;
  6. Participate in field campaigns;
  7. Conduct site evaluations and operational inspections;
  8. Ensure adherence to environmental regulations;
  9. Carry out environmental monitoring and prepare inspection reports;
  10. Report any irregularities and assist in proposing corrective measures;
  11. Play a crucial role in ensuring the quality control of the environment within the Nunavik Nickel Project.
Requirements
  • High school diploma;
  • Valid driver's license (territorial accepted);
  • Ability to communicate in at least two of the following languages: Inuktitut, English, or French (trilingual candidates will be considered an asset);
  • Demonstrated reliability with a good attendance record.
