**The workplace is in Nunavik**
The work location is in Nunavik, and the normal work schedule consists of a rotating 4-week cycle, with 2 weeks of work (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 2 weeks of paid rest.

**Future challenges**
Under the supervision of the Chief Metallurgist, the Metallurgist will be responsible for monitoring the metallurgical performance of the plant and contributing to the development of new projects and/or improvements to existing facilities. Their main responsibilities include:
- Conducting studies to improve the performance of various sections of the concentrator (crushing, grinding, flotation, thickening, and filtration).
- Participating in the implementation of new projects aimed at optimizing the plant.
- Organizing, coordinating, conducting plant and laboratory tests, and analyzing the collected data.
- Providing technical support to surface water treatment facilities and water management.
- Ensuring the quality of metallurgical accounting: plant balance, data reconciliation.
- Maintaining communication of control plans, guidelines, and operational procedures to production and maintenance teams.
- Supervising technicians and interns.
- Coordinating activities with other departments such as mining, services, engineering, etc.
**Profile Sought**
- Bachelor's degree in mining, metallurgical, chemical engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant experience and/or internship in the field.
- Ability to identify and diagnose issues encountered in various stages of the process.
- Excellent analytical, synthesis, and communication skills.
**Assets**
- Experience with flotation circuits.
- Good knowledge of MS Office software suite.
- Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset due to frequent exchanges with French-speaking team members, facilitating and improving internal communications.
