Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Chassis Engineer to oversee the engineering, design, development, validation, and production release of new Steering Systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in steering systems or suspension systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive quality improvements, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancement initiatives for Steering Systems.
  • Communicate technical product status to management and stakeholders.
  • Manage program development and provide status reports, issue tracking, and recovery plans.
  • Utilize clear and effective communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Handle engineering, design, development, timing, and production release of Chassis components, specifically electric steering systems (EPS) and steering system components.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university (or ABET equivalent).
  • 2+ years of engineering development and production release in steering systems OR 3-5 years engineering development experience in suspension systems or overall Chassis (components or systems).
  • 5 years of steering specific experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated passion to work in the automotive industry with experience in component and system design, development, and validation.
  • Validation skills and experience with setting up and testing of structural components.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) and ability to perform basic design activities in NX/Teamcenter related to vehicle packaging and design of components.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required for occasional travel and testing purposes.

Additional Information

This position requires frequent travel to the USA; candidates must hold Canadian citizenship or have the ability to work in the USA.
