We are pleased to present an exceptional opportunity for a leadership role as Executive Director at Northwest Employment Works. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will be tasked with managing the operations of the organization and ensuring alignment with its mission and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Overseeing the organization's human resources and financial responsibilities.
  2. Securing funding for various programs.
  3. Advocating for employment services tailored to the needs of the community.
  4. Fostering and maintaining productive relationships with partners, stakeholders, and community leaders.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a post-secondary degree or diploma in law, business management, finance, human resources, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of management experience.
  • Knowledge and/or experience within the Ontario legal framework.
  • Familiarity with the geographical context of the communities served.
  • Experience with both the Euro-Canadian legal system and indigenous justice frameworks.
  • Strong public speaking abilities and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Willingness to engage in discussions regarding legal and traditional matters.
  • Must be prepared to travel frequently.
  • Proficiency in Ojibway, Oji-Cree, or Cree is a significant advantage.

Work Schedule: Full Time (35 Hours Per Week)

Compensation: Starting salary of $125,077 annually
