Job Summary:

The Aircraft Production Planner will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. This individual will be responsible for planning and coordinating the production of aircraft components, as well as providing technical support to production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate the production of aircraft components, including material requirements, labor estimates, and tooling requirements.
  • Provide technical support to production teams, including research and review of technical data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure that all production work orders are accurate and up-to-date, and that all necessary documentation is completed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, purchasing, and engineering, to resolve production issues and improve processes.
  • Develop and maintain process plans, including process flowcharts and work instructions.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements, including lean and 5S initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Provide training and support to production staff on new processes and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Three to five years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in the aerospace industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make sound decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
