Job Title: Senior Account Manager, Portfolio Management

As a key member of our Commercial Portfolio Management team, you will play a critical role in the day-to-day management of a portfolio of complex construction, renovation, and portfolio mortgages. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that risk is comprehensively controlled and within the Bank's risk appetite, while delivering superior customer service to our lending partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Portfolio Management: Manage a portfolio of complex commercial mortgage facilities, ensuring timely completion of renewals, refinances, assumptions, and annual reviews.
  • Credit Risk Management: Assess credit risk associated with individual transactions, making sound underwriting decisions while balancing the needs of the client.
  • Mentorship and Training: Provide guidance and support to junior members of the team, sharing your expertise and knowledge to ensure their success.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with internal contacts to ensure timely completion of transactions and ad-hoc requests, while preparing reports for senior management.
Requirements:
  • Education: Post-secondary education in business or finance.
  • Experience: Minimum 7-10 years' commercial mortgage experience, with a strong understanding of commercial real estate underwriting, financial statement analysis, and the commercial mortgage market.
  • Skills: Proficient underwriting skills, sound technical knowledge, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
