Position Overview

Maxima Stone Ltd is seeking a skilled Wholesale Buyer to enhance our procurement operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for establishing and nurturing relationships with suppliers to ensure a steady flow of quality merchandise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supplier Relations: Build and maintain strong connections with suppliers to facilitate effective communication.
  • Price Negotiation: Engage in negotiations regarding pricing, discounts, credit terms, and logistics with suppliers.
  • Merchandise Distribution: Oversee the distribution process of products to various outlets.
  • Inventory Assessment: Analyze the needs of the business to determine the appropriate quantity and type of products to procure.
  • Product Selection: Choose and purchase merchandise intended for resale.
  • Team Supervision: Manage and guide the activities of other buyers within the team.

The role operates in a fast-paced setting, requiring the ability to stand for extended periods.

Qualifications
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Experience: Candidates should possess 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in procurement or purchasing.
  • Employment Type: Permanent position.
  • Language: Proficiency in English is necessary.
  • Work Hours: The position requires a commitment of 32 hours per week.
