Job Title: Procurement and Contract Specialist

Vantix Systems Inc is seeking a highly skilled Procurement and Contract Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing strategic procurement plans, managing complex procurements, and managing contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with business, IT partners, and other subject matter experts to gather and analyze business requirements and recommend solutions.
  • Lead and facilitate meetings with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Provide procurement specialist services, including evaluation of responses and management of RFP and procurement processes.
  • Use analytical and problem-solving skills to plan and design creative solutions.
  • Develop project schedule plans and strategies, estimate resource requirements, and develop and monitor work plans for completion of project tasks.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in coordinating with business, IT partners, and other subject matter experts.
  • 4+ years of experience leading and facilitating meetings with stakeholders at all levels.
  • 4+ years of experience providing procurement specialist services.
  • 4+ years of experience using analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • 3+ years of experience developing project schedule plans and strategies.
Nice to Have:
  • Relevant post-secondary education in supply chain, procurement, business, or a related field.
  • Completion of SCMP or other equivalent courses and associated certificates.
  • Experience conducting, facilitating, and interpreting impact and risk assessments.
  • Experience documenting business processes, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
  • Experience in procurement processes, including an understanding of trade agreements and competitive bid law.
  • Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis of costs and benefits.
  • Experience in the development of project documents for various initiatives and projects.
Working Conditions:

The Contingent Resource will work remotely primarily and be required for onsite meetings, which include strategic planning, work planning discussions, and meeting with team members, senior managers, directors, executive directors, and business clients as required.

The frequency of meetings may be up to once per month. Must be a Canadian Citizen to apply and work within Canada at all times, due to network and data security issues.
