Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our esteemed Nursing Resource Team. This role is integral to our mission of providing exceptional mental health care. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment, providing comprehensive nursing care to individuals facing complex mental health challenges.

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver specialized nursing care tailored to the unique needs of patients with mental health and addiction issues.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment, providing crisis management and emergency nursing care as required.
  • Advocate for patients' rights and entitlements, coordinating services and resources with community partners.

Qualifications

  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Certification in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing is preferred.
  • Experience in psychiatric or mental health nursing is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of the Mental Health Act and related legislation.
  • Completion of Safety and Security in the Workplace Training is required prior to employment.
  • Proficient in psychiatric nursing practices as per Canadian standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to foster an interdisciplinary team approach.
  • Valid driver's license may be required.
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory; bilingualism is an asset.
