Position Overview:
Trane Technologies is seeking an Equipment Project Manager in the HVAC sector. This role involves overseeing the administration, execution, and management of HVAC equipment projects, ensuring adherence to the defined scope, timeline, and budget.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops and evaluates assigned projects, setting timelines and project parameters while establishing procedures to achieve system goals, particularly in complex equipment applications.
  • Engages with clients and their representatives, including building owners, mechanical contractors, and subcontractors, to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and implementing necessary corrective measures.
  • Aligns estimated shipping dates with contractors' project schedules and ensures compliance with internal equipment ordering protocols.
  • Maintains the accuracy of projected costs at completion and manages expenses by closely monitoring the assigned project budget.
  • Creates and updates project schedules, including generating tasks, estimates, dependencies, and milestones.
  • Responsible for processing equipment orders, issuing purchase orders, and generating work orders for equipment start-ups.
  • Manages project cash flow, including progress billing, collections support, and resource allocation.
Qualifications:
  • An Associate's Degree in engineering or a related field with at least two (2) years of experience in project management, equipment, HVAC, or a similar area; OR a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and temperature control equipment is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills with a proactive approach, capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
