We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team at K7 Millwork Group Inc. as a key member of our fabrication department.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and Maintain Woodworking Equipment: Safely operate a variety of woodworking machines, including power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers, to cut, shape, and form parts and components.
- Design and Fabricate Custom Cabinets: Prepare specifications for custom-made cabinets that maximize storage and meet client requirements.
- Surface Preparation and Finishing: Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files, and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products.
- Quality Control and Assurance: Inspect and test finished products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Estimating and Material Management: Estimate costs and materials required for projects and manage inventory to ensure efficient production.
- Repair and Restoration: Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products to meet client needs.
- Education and Experience: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in cabinetmaking or a related field.
- Language and Communication: Fluency in English and excellent communication skills.
- Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced fabrication environment with a focus on quality and safety.
