About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Helper at Hwanggane & Osaka Sushi. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining room and kitchen areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Food Preparation: Assist in preparing, heating, and finishing simple food items, including portioning and wrapping foods, and packaging take-out food.
  • Customer Service: Take customers' orders and provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive dining experience.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, to maintain a clean and efficient kitchen environment.
  • Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas to ensure a well-stocked kitchen.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Housekeeping: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and tidy kitchen and dining area.
  • Food Handling: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit to prepare for food preparation.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of energy and activity.
  • Standing for Extended Periods: Stand for extended periods, including during peak hours and when preparing food.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain attention to detail to ensure accurate food preparation and presentation.
Weight Handling
  • Up to 9 kg (20 lbs): Lift and move items weighing up to 9 kg (20 lbs) to perform tasks such as cleaning and food preparation.
