About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst, Financial Solutions to join our Housing Program Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for reviewing, underwriting, and recommending approval of applications for financing under the National Housing Strategy (NHS) and existing CMHC programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and underwrite applications for contribution and/or loan approval, leveraging CMHC's various programs to find the most suitable solution.
  • Assess affordable, multi-unit housing applications for new construction and repairs, ensuring compliance with CMHC's policies and guidelines.
  • Manage risk by exercising prudence and due diligence while reviewing and approving applications.
  • Maintain quality relationships with clients to understand their needs and objectives, and explore opportunities to support their goals.
  • Provide effective and efficient delivery of the National Housing Strategy (NHS) and existing CMHC programs, working in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • An Undergraduate degree in a relevant field such as Business, Finance, and/or Commerce.
  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience in credit/financial analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate key decisions and policies to clients and stakeholders.
