Senior Financial Analyst

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in driving revenue growth and financial performance at Nova Scotia Health Authority. Reporting to the Manager of Revenue, this individual will work closely with the Finance Team and clinical leaders to develop and implement strategic revenue initiatives. Key responsibilities include revenue accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement, as well as identifying and implementing revenue opportunities. This position requires a strong understanding of financial processes, public sector accounting, and reporting on key performance indicators. The ideal candidate will possess excellent collaboration, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience in a healthcare setting is an asset, and proficiency in SAP or another ERP system is highly desirable. This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive hourly rate of $37.61 - $47.01. Successful candidates may be eligible for our comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
About YouWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual with a strong background in finance and a passion for driving business results. The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree and a CPA accounting designation or a master's-level degree. A minimum of five years' experience in finance, including knowledge of budgeting, revenue, financial reporting, and general accounting, is required. Experience in a healthcare setting and proficiency in SAP or another ERP system are highly desirable. The successful candidate will possess excellent collaboration, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. They will be able to work effectively in a team environment, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset.
