Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Engineer to join our team at McAsphalt, a leading asphalt products and services company in Canada. As a Power Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining our hot oil heater, offloading and loading trucks, controlling tank temperatures, and performing various duties at our Langley facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain hot oil heater systems
  • Offload and load trucks safely and efficiently
  • Control tank temperatures using hot oil heaters
  • Manufacture asphaltic products
  • Load and offload tankers
  • Operate mobile equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance
  • Follow standard operating procedures and policies
Requirements
  • Power Engineer education with a valid 4th class steam ticket
  • Previous experience with high pressure boilers is an asset
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Ability to work outdoors, at height, and in all environments
  • Experience with pumps, piping, heat tracing, and hot oil heaters is an asset
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
