About the RoleWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Centre for Making Coordinator & Ancillary Services. This position is responsible for maintaining the campus library, organizing and maintaining the campus Shirt Shop, and providing technical support and administrative coordination for the Centre for Making community makerspace.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain the campus library, including ordering books and materials, and ensuring the library is well-organized and easily accessible to students.
- Organize and maintain the campus Shirt Shop, including ordering clothing and supplies, and ensuring the shop is well-stocked and easily accessible to students.
- Provide technical support for the Centre for Making community makerspace, including troubleshooting equipment and ensuring the space is well-maintained.
- Provide administrative coordination for the Centre for Making community makerspace, including scheduling appointments and managing the space's calendar.
- Provide back-up support to front-line reception, including answering phones and responding to emails.
- Assist with course registrations, promotion, and general clerical support for all areas of campus operations.
- 2-year Diploma in Marketing, Visual Arts, Design, or related field, plus additional courses in office administration, marketing, or business administration.
- Three to five years of relevant working experience, including experience in retail sales, marketing, or library services.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to learn and adapt new technologies.
- Ability to prioritize work and be flexible as needs demand.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
