Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Manufacturing Execution System (MES), ensuring its effective operation, data integrity, and optimal performance.
  • Data Extraction and Analysis: Extract, clean, and analyze data from MES and other related systems to support manufacturing operations, reporting, and decision-making processes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, IT, and Business Solutions, to understand data needs and ensure systems are aligned with business goals.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to manufacturing staff and other stakeholders on MES usage, data interpretation, and best practices in data management.
  • Data Integration: Collaborate with IT and Business Solutions teams to integrate MES data with other enterprise systems, such as ERP and Data Warehousing solutions.
  • Report Generation: Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate key manufacturing metrics and performance indicators.
  • Standardization: Promote the standardization of data schemas, definitions, and reporting practices to ensure consistency and accuracy across the organization.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to MES and associated data systems to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience managing MES systems within a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of data management, system optimization, and reporting.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in SQL and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
    • Strong knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools, such as Power BI and Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot).
    • Experience with MES systems and their integration with ERP and Data Warehousing solutions.
    • Knowledge of basic statistics and data visualization techniques.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Project) and VBA for Excel is an asset.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to translate technical details into business solutions, and to collaborate effectively with various departments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a creative approach to improving systems and processes.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn, evolve, and adapt to changes in technology and business needs.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
  • Working knowledge of programming languages such as VB.NET or C#.
