Supply Chain Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our team at TYCROP Trailers Inc. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic supply chain initiatives and ensuring the efficient management of materials, information, and procurement of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a robust supply chain strategy that aligns with the company's strategic business goals and objectives.
- Supplier Management: Identify and cultivate global supplier relationships, developing and reporting on key performance indicators and metrics of supplier performance.
- Cost Management: Develop cost reduction strategies and initiatives to improve the overall cost management of the supply chain.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain, developing contingency plans for disruption in the supply for critical components and suppliers.
- People Management: Lead and mentor the supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Contract Management: Negotiate, or renegotiate, and administer contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and optimize inventory levels to balance supply and demand, reduce excessive inventory, while minimizing stockouts.
- Procurement Management: Manage the procurement process, including supplier selection, contract negotiations, and relationship management to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials at competitive prices.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, parts sales, and production control to ensure that production schedules are met and that the raw materials and components are available when needed.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, supply chain management, or a similar field.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in strategic sourcing and procurement management within the manufacturing or automotive industry, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in strategic sourcing and procurement management within the manufacturing or automotive industry.
- A track record of achieving cost savings.
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain management, contract law, and industry regulations.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in data analytics tools.
- Strategic Thinking: Develop and implement long-term sourcing strategies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities to leverage data to drive decisions.
- Negotiation Skills: Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and develop a team.
This position is primarily office-based but requires regular visits to the production floor and occasional travel to supplier sites. This role may require working outside of regular business hours to address urgent supply chain issues.
