About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mortgage Broker to join our team at MCAP Group of Companies. As a Mortgage Broker, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and building strong relationships with borrowers, while utilizing your expertise to create personalized financing solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Financing Solutions: Review financial situations of borrowers, analyze income, assets, liabilities, and credit bureau details to assess their ability to qualify for requested solutions. Utilize product options and borrower goals to suggest mutually beneficial products and terms.
  • Handle Complex Conversations: Educate borrowers on the feasibility of desired solutions and required steps to achieve their goals. Work with underwriting teams, closing coordinators, and borrowers to secure new mortgage approvals and collect required documentation.
  • Advocate for Borrowers: Handle inbound and outbound borrower interactions, advocating for each borrower and finding agreeable solutions to their financing needs. Provide updates and minimize borrower effort throughout the funding process.
  • Promote Options: Promote applicable lender product options and services, such as Mortgage Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, and Home Warranty options. Educate borrowers on features and benefits of existing mortgage products to retain them when financing is unavailable or unwarranted.
Requirements
  • Mortgage Servicing or Origination Industry Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in the mortgage servicing or origination industry.
  • Customer Service and/or Retention Experience: Proven customer service and/or retention experience, with a strong focus on building relationships and providing exceptional service.
  • Strong Negotiation and Retention Skills: Excellent negotiation and retention skills, with the ability to foster and maintain relationships with borrowers and stakeholders.
  • University Degree/College Diploma: Completion of a university degree or college diploma, with a strong understanding of mortgage products and services.
