About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Laborer for Vegetable Crops to join our team at Josling Farms Inc. as a key member of our agricultural operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply the technique of hoeing between rows to maintain crop health and prevent weeds from competing with the crops.
  • Clear fields of wood and stones to ensure a smooth and efficient harvesting process.
  • Hand harvest vegetables to ensure high-quality produce.
  • Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops to promote healthy growth and maximize yields.
  • Weeding is a crucial task to prevent weeds from taking over the crops.
  • Fertilize and spray crops to promote healthy growth and prevent pests and diseases.
  • Harvest crops at the optimal time to ensure maximum quality and flavor.
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Equipment and Machinery Experience
  • Familiarity with farm trucks, tractors, vegetable harvesters, fertilizer applicators, lift trucks, planting equipment, and tillage equipment is essential.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and handle heavy loads.
  • Physically demanding tasks require stamina and endurance.
  • Hand-eye coordination and ability to distinguish between colors are essential for safe and efficient operations.
  • Standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, and combination of sitting, standing, and walking are required.

  • Hours: 40 to 50 hours per week.
