The Role:

  • Formulate, propose, and execute communication strategies and initiatives for both internal and external audiences, aligning with the company's overall strategic goals.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage large-scale events involving business partners and clients.
  • Oversee Canpotex's community investment initiatives, including establishing and nurturing relationships with community stakeholders.
  • Develop, manage, and update corporate communication tools, including key messages, presentations, websites, social media accounts, and digital channels.
  • Create and refine communication materials as necessary, such as press releases, briefing notes, fact sheets, and social media content.
  • Ensure that all communication efforts and messaging align with the corporate branding strategy and enhance the company's positioning with key audiences.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of Canpotex's communication strategies and explore options for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field; a professional communications designation is a plus.
  • A minimum of five to seven years of relevant experience in communications or public relations.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing comprehensive communication strategies and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in an international organization, private corporation, or publicly traded company is advantageous.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong work ethic, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with diverse audiences, including executives, shareholders, community organizations, and employees.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, including the ability to conceptualize, analyze, synthesize, and evaluate information to enhance processes.
  • Basic graphic design knowledge to support projects such as social media and presentations.
