About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and confident Security Professional to join our Healthcare Division in Ponoka, AB. As a Hospital Security Officer, you will be responsible for providing support, empathy, and public safety to healthcare staff, visitors, clients, and patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide access control and monitor restricted areas of the facility.
  • Respond to incidents and alarms, and conduct patrols to identify potential risks.
  • Investigate and report irregularities, and monitor patient safety.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure a safe and secure environment.

Requirements:

  • Valid AB Security license or willingness to obtain one prior to commencing work.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and proven de-escalation skills.
  • Calm under pressure, confident in problem-solving abilities, and empathetic approach to conflict resolution.
  • Ability to perform physical aspects of the job, including walking up to 20km/shift and pushing/pulling 30-pound doors.
  • Availability to work day shifts on a 4 on, 4 off rotation.
