Responsibilities
- Execute on-site maintenance and repairs for production printing equipment.
- Identify and rectify technical problems swiftly to reduce production interruptions.
- Perform routine inspections and apply preventive maintenance strategies.
- Set up, configure, and fine-tune production printing machinery for peak performance.
- Work closely with clients, providing outstanding service and support.
- Conduct on-site service for multifunction printers (MFPs).
- Manage parts and service calls while maintaining accurate records to meet performance targets.
- Commit to learning new technologies, keeping precise records, and assisting team members as needed.
- 10% - Lead referrals, assist with customer evaluations and solution design.
- 90% - Troubleshooting and customer support.
- Seek opportunities to enhance territory parts budget and inventory management.
- Undertake additional relevant tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in servicing and repairing production printing machinery.
- Skilled in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting within a production print context.
- Familiar with various production print technologies and systems.
- Excellent communication abilities and a strong customer service focus.
- Capable of working independently and adapting to diverse client settings.
Network Skills:
- Installation and troubleshooting of basic printing and scanning solutions.
- Proficient in Microsoft OS peer-to-peer and client-server environments.
- Familiar with printing from common business applications.
Solutions Knowledge: Basic understanding of the solutions portfolio.
Product Knowledge: Strong working knowledge and certification of production systems.
Color Skills: Familiarity with calibration and RIP configurations.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Mentoring and Instruction: 10% - based on technical expertise.
Pre/Post Consulting Ability: Moderate.
Working Directions: Requires limited assistance for more complex issues.
Must be positive, outgoing, self-motivated, and committed to fostering strong customer relationships.
Willingness to travel as required. Candidates must maintain valid travel documentation at their own expense.
Must have a personal vehicle and valid insurance with appropriate coverage, along with a valid driver's license in good standing.
Availability for standby and after-hours work may be necessary.
Training may involve after-hours travel and overnight stays, including weekends.
Perform other relevant duties as assigned by management.
