The Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our Business Intelligence team, supporting the operational data needs of our mining division. As a Data Analyst, you will work closely with technical experts to understand data requirements and optimize their use for mining and milling operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and visualizations to provide decision support capabilities to operations
- Improve business processes and drive innovation using business intelligence software
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver data-driven solutions
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analytics and visualization
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Economics, or Mathematics
- Three years of applicable work experience
- Strong knowledge of data visualization best practices and techniques
- Experience with data curation, report creation, key performance indicator (KPI) development, and statistical analysis
- Analytical skills, including strong SQL query knowledge
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with an enterprise data warehouse – BigQuery, Azure, or equivalent
- Experience with business reporting tools – Power BI, Looker, Tableau, SSRS, or equivalent
- Experience with ETL tools (Dataform, Apache Airflow, SSIS, or others)
