The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working team player to join our Business Intelligence team as an Operational Data Analyst. This role will involve working with a team of technical experts to understand data requirements and optimize their use for mining and milling operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop creative dashboards, front-end visualizations, and data modeling to provide decision support capabilities to operations
  • Improve business processes and drive innovation using business intelligence software
  • Work with operational time series data to support key operations
  • Participate in an exciting digital transformation journey, maturing from descriptive to predictive and prescriptive data analytics

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, data science, statistics, operations research, economics, or mathematics
  • Three years of applicable work experience
  • Strong knowledge of data visualization best practices and techniques
  • Experience with data curation, report creation, key performance indicator (KPI) development, and statistical analysis

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with an enterprise data warehouse – BigQuery, Azure, or equivalent
  • Experience with business reporting tools – Power BI, Looker, Tableau, SSRS, or equivalent
  • Experience with ETL tools (Dataform, Apache Airflow, SSIS, or others)
