Drywall Finisher

At Mattali Drywall, we are seeking a skilled Drywall Taper to join our team. As a Drywall Taper, you will be responsible for applying successive coats of compound and sanding seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish.
Responsibilities:- Apply coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish
- Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to create a durable surface
- Clean and prepare surfaces for plastering
- Cure freshly plastered surfaces to ensure a strong bond
- Install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
- Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound
- Finish corners and angles, and create decorative designs in the finish coat
- Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency
- Smooth out excess compound and allow coats to dry
- Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
- Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages
- Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in drywall finishing
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
- Ability to work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages
- Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment
- Manual dexterity and ability to work with precision
- Dependability, flexibility, judgement, reliability, and team player skills
Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. The work site environment includes working at heights, dusty conditions, and noisy environments.
